THE ARCHITECTURE OF THE TESSERACT MUSEUM OF SHAMELESS IMAGES 1 MUSEUM OF SHAMELESS IMAGES: an electronic edifice made up of epigraphs and sights whose architecture has no peers in the history of publishing, electronic or otherwise. *** The structure of the Museum is that of a Tesseract. The Tesseract is a "solid" geometric figure which, although portrayable in two dimensions (as the plane of the video monitor), cannot actually exist in three. The Dutch artist M.C. Escher alone has succeeded in rendering convincing simulations. *** Although a "quasi" Tesseract book has always been the dream of master typographers, in all the world only a few examples exist. A number of illustrations of perhaps the best example of these, a textbook on photographic technique, have been included in this CD. *** This Advanced Electronic Tesseract Book is made up more of images than epigraphs. Each of its digitalized images forms the face of a polygon. *** Computer Science, through the theory of the Advanced Electronic Book, has made possible the concrete hypothesis of a nearly perfect Tesseract. (Perfection remains, however, Utopian). This CD is the only practical translation of this hypothesis.
